I am dreaming of a white Xmas...yeah right!

The xmas holiday was well deserved this year. I had managed to keep my job through a recession and Charlie managed to keep his enviro-mark business afloat. We deserved a break.

Dugall and Katie in Nelson kindly invited us to spend xmas with them. It was a stunning summer's day in 'sunny Nelson' (as always, according to the Nelsonians). Christmas day is a day to give each other pressies, eat well, go swimming, biking and drink lots of nice beer and wine. WE managed to squeeze in all of those activities:
Charlie, me, Megan (Dugall's distant cousin) and Dugall having a swim at Tahuna beach. The water was surprisingly warm.
Katie's mum, Jan preparing the fish for the BIG lunch
Time for some salad making on the balcony for Katie and I
The Master Chef Dugall - of course with a beer in his hand
Merry Christmas!!!!!!
Dugall, Charlie and I took off after lunch for a short but sweet ride from Aniseed Valley in Richmond to Browning Hut. It was very very hot. Charlie tried to cool down by going as fast as possible.
Time for some more beers now...and maybe some chocolate to follow?
Jan and Colin introduced me to a new concept: the chocolate fountain. I had never seen such a thing before. Only in my wildest dreams or in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, I would see a chocolate fountain! Here it was...for real! Charlie went nuts and together with Dugall almost finished off 1 kg of chocolate. I had some too..only a little bit :-)

The chocolate frenzy. After a while we gave up on dipping mash mellows, strawberries and other nonsense and went straight for the spoons (and tongues). What a great way to finish the Xmas day.
