Visiting Kerstin and Lindsay in Munich

Next stop was Munich to see Kerstin and Lindsay and briefly catch up with Matse, my linguist friend from Villingen (sorry no pics). Kerstin and Lindsay are due to be parents any day and sometimes I thought Kerstin was about to pop.

Kerstin and I went swimming to the Olympic Park in Munich, which consist of many very impressive buildings designed for the Summer Olympics held in Munch in 1972. I adore architects who can manage to design buildings which are timeless.

Kerstin managed to get into and out of her swimming togs (well done!) and after our swim, we went to some festival nearby where we scoffed down German Spätzle, bratwurst, weissbeer and more.

We passed some more impressive buildings on the way back to the underground. Below is the new BMW house in Munich. Saab and Volvo don't have anything as flash as that :-(

A lot of our time together were spent eating. I saw it as my mission to help Kerstin gain weight since her doctor had complained that she has not put on as much as is expected. Between meals, we drove to Passau, an old city close to Austria and Czech Republic, where Danube and the Inns join. It was a cute place with many beautiful old buildings.

Time for some lovely breakie

Next time I'll see them, they will have a little one! Exciting.
